Voltage regulator
The need to maximize energy savings from the operation of light sources continues to increase currently. Discharge lamps used for street lighting systems are themselves a very effective light source; however, it is also possible to achieve further savings in electricity through their regulation. The DATMO kit uses INTELUX products in its switchboards. These regulators allow the continuous control of discharge light sources by changing the effective value of the power supple voltage for discharge lamps provided with conventional electromagnetic ballasts.
The regulator communicates through the backbone data line with the control unit in which regulation curves according to which regulation takes place have been programmed. The regulation curves not only change according to the season of the year, but it is also possible to control aging of the discharge lamps and to maintain constant lighting performance with respect to the applicable standards.
The INTELUX NG (new generation) regulator also operates as a mains voltage stabilizer and its incorporation in the mains extends service life of the light sources considerably.
