The DATMO kit uses a PALADIN brand optical sensor. The assessment circuit of the sensor is connected to the control unit that combines the data on turning on and off periods from the optical sensor with the programmed astronomic calendar. For practical reasons, the sensor is active only during a certain period before and after the time of switching on and off. This time is determined by the astronomic calendar. A high-quality adjustment according to the colour temperature of daylight at sunset and sunrise is incorporated in the assessment unit of the sensor.
