CPU DATMO control unit

All data necessary for the street lighting system switchboard are programmed in the CPU control unit. The unit can be connected to a modem for communication with the control station or it can operate completely independently. This mode is utilized in the case of the presence of faults in the street lighting system.

The CPU DATMO unit in the RVO(switchboard) configuration with control and communication with individual light points or if this unit is provided with the DATMOCONTROL® transmitter control or extended by a municipal extension:

  • Allows wireless communication with service PDA for each RVO including a standard USB port for communication with a PC by means of IRP
  • Allows communication through the BUS 485 bus bar with the other RVO components through RS 232 with a selected module, allows photocell connection.
  • In the case of use of a RACOM radio modem, Wi-Fi or GPRS modem, it allows remote access to all information in the unit and its remote modification.
  • Allows the remote switching of the street lighting system on and off with an optionally adjustable annual astronomic calendar in the case of use of a RACOM radio modem, Wi-Fi or GPRS modem with on–line control in combination with optical sensor (up to 5 units)
  • Provides remote reading of the electricity meter status
  • Provides signalling of unauthorized opening of the PVO switchboard box door
  • Provides signalling of the presence of RVO power supply
  • Provides signalling of main circuit breaker failure
  • Provides signalling of main contactor condition
  • Provides measuring of phase currents in individual cable directions of the street lighting system and ensures their comparison with a reference value
  • Provides signalling of failures of individual sectional circuit breakers
  • If the switchboard is additionally fitted for power supply voltage regulation, it allows control of voltage regulators and collection of data on the operation of these regulation units, including by-pass contactor control

It is possible to display on the CPU DATMO display:
  • Input status
  • Output status
  • Power supply mains status
  • Measurements of voltage including voltage behind regulation
  • Operational status of individual luminaires
  • Date and time
  • Power consumption data
  • Street lighting system, SO annual switching calendar
  • 2 independent regulation curves in the case of use of the DATMOCONTROL® transmitter
  • In the case of extension by KN DATMO 8 x independent switching curve
The backup recharging batteries for the CPU have an automatic six-month testing cycle.

Extension of the CPU DATMO control unit by adding the MSB-K module for bidirectional communication between RVO and individual light points – luminaires

                                  MSB - K                                                 MSB – K printed-circuit board

If a concentrator and the MSB - K communication unit for bidirectional communication through the existing cable power supply line of the street lighting system with individual light points of the street lighting system (VO) or amenity lighting (SO) or with other points (KN DATMO RVO municipal extension) with their own switching calendars and with use of the MSB - C unit in each light point are added to the CPU DATMO RVO control unit, the control unit allows:

  • Remote control of luminaire output by control line switching on the electronic ballast of the luminaire within a range of 100% and 60% with the addition of control and collection of information on light point operation
  • Remote switching of luminaire output – branches on the choking coil of the conventional electromagnetic ballast of the luminaire

In both cases, control and collection of information on the light point is allowed in the following range:

  • Off, On
  • Lit, extinguished
  • Number of failures of the discharge lamp during the night

All data are archived; selected ones as alarms. Up to 255 MSB-C receivers can be connected to one RVO.

Extension of the CPU DATMO control unit with the DATMOCONTROL® transmitter for unidirectional communication between RVO and individual light points - luminaires

If the CPU DATMO unit is fitted with the DATMOCONTROL® system transmitter for unidirectional communication through power supply cables between RVO(switchboard) and luminaires, this configuration allows:

  • Remote luminaire output switching – branches on the choking coil of the conventional electromagnetic ballast of the luminaire with the option of controlling the switching on or off of at least 2 independent groups of luminaires (main and auxiliary communication) at different times.
  • Remote luminaire output switching – by switching of the control line of the electronic ballast of the luminaire with the option of controlling the switching on or off at least 2 independent groups of luminaires (main and auxiliary communication) at different times. Electronic ballast control voltage: 230V~
