SW DATMO RVO

SW DATMO RVO control system for visualization of all collected and transmitted data:

The complex SW for the provision of management and on-line operation of a town street lighting system contains 5 basic modules:

  • GIS              -  For the location and graphic representation of all street lighting system above-ground components
  • ELS             -  Complete wiring diagrams for street lighting system connection
  • ON –LINE  - Collection of data from street lighting system operation using communication links                                                             
  • SERVIS      - Keeping of registration and rectification of defects in street lighting system
  • EKO            - Economic module for the assessment of all operational costs of the administered property in form of street lighting system
 
GIS
Passportization of a street lighting system property package in the field of data collection includes:

  • Location of all above-ground components of a town’s street lighting system property package with GPS coordinates and positioning of all these points-components in a map background document, whose type (vector or raster map) has to be specified before the start of work
  • Execution of unique identification of all components in the following range:

RVO - Street lighting system switchboard (switching box)
RZ    - Disconnecting box
SB    - Light point
SZ    - Special device connected to street lighting system distribution lines (Citylight, municipal transportation company automatic machines, town clocks…)

     This module utilizes all data obtained with GIS on PD when recording all these data on the server, it draws wiring diagrams of individual RVO switching points and carries out their automatic inspection.

 ON-LINE
   
This module ensures communication with all active elements of the control system within the complete DATMO RVO SW, data collection, transfer of all commands given with CD into the system through the selected means of communication (see visualization of transmitted data).

System response


Based on long-term experience of similar applications operated over a long period, the designed system guarantees response to mass commands (broadcast), in particular for street lighting system switching-on within 3 seconds together with a complete listing of responses  of switching-on inspection (1,000 RVOs) within 10 minutes. Individual addressed commands within 3 seconds. The application allows, in visualization on CD, carrying out inspection of speed and communication with any RVO in the system including verification of operational status of all basic RVO components (RACOM radio modem, OVZ power supply, CPU DATMO and SPP).

Remote communication control and service

Immediate and addressable response to communication errors in the case of operation through RACOM radio modems is one of the greatest advantages of the offered control system and thanks to remote supervision, it is possible to change the system configuration or to carry out SW interventions into individual modems on any RVO through the master radio MODANET network or through Internet. Thanks to this method of communication it is likewise possible to secure monitoring of the basic HW elements of individual RVOs – see system response.

Control and management
of individual elements (RVO) and parameters of the control system of the street lighting system from the central control station:

  • Multiple or individual switching of RVOs for public lighting(VO),amenity lighting(SO)
  • In the case of CPU DATMO extension by MSB – for switching on or off individual light points
  • Multiple or individual reading of electricity meters as required or according to setting
  • Power supply voltage reading in individual RVOs
  • Reading of current load of individual outlet cables of RVOs and comparison with reference  values

The general register of the system’s critical alarm messages with multi-level acoustic signalling, depending on the alarm seriousness, is configured according to the customer’s requirements. The visualization of alarm messages and the general register is configured with connection to the REPORT – REQUEST module according to requirements of the user .


SERVICE

This module processes the output register of alarm messages from the ON-LINE module and other sources (telephone or e-mail reports from the public about defects in the street lighting system) and the operator ensures their electronic distribution in corresponding centres (VO maintenance, VO management) and monitors their elimination from the point of view of a cause of the defect and the term of rectification according to preset registers; this information is simultaneously saved in the GIS or ELS module for the assessment of the needs and preparation of investment plans for VO, SO renovation. Elimination of a defect by the street lighting system maintenance department is simultaneously reflected in the EKO module.

EKO

An economic module for the assessment of all operational costs of the administered property. It processes the data from the ON-LINE and SERVICE modules automatically in costs breakdown (energy, material, labour) as required by the customer. This module is used by the company management for the control of all processes during the operation of the    street lighting system.

VO central control station


Central control system operation is secured continuously by ensuring all SW DATMO RVO functions –24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

HW conditions for implementation of the SW DATMO RVO control system

HP Pentium IV type servers and 2 backup power supplies for the event of power supply failure
UPS backup power supplies are fed from independent lines with automatic bridging
SW solutions are located on servers with backup disc field.
The server used through access router processes all information by data collecting through access RACOM radio modems and connection to Internet. SW DATMO RVO application sorts out and processes all data and ensures their distribution using company LAN in CD working site for visualization and in other company departments (administration, operation-service, economic department) where the selected operators have access to the given field of data.
